Contributing writers can elect to have their story submission sent through the Zap Room.  The Zap Room offers a more thorough review of your story submission and a more detailed critique of what we found wrong with your story (should we reject it).  It is the rejected story that is of interest to our readers, for it is a twisted for of the rejection letter that is published within the Zap Room. *NOTE: Micro Fiction submissions are not eligible as Zap contenders.

So, be forewarned if you intend to submit to this chamber.

While it is the intention of this room to be for amusement and not to humiliate or to vent cruelty, submissions to the Zap Room will be subjected to a No-Holds-Barred Rejection if the submission is not accepted for publication within AlienSkin Magazine_®.

Writer's who are sensitive to the following phrases, 'This story sucked.  BORING!!  Lame!  Your characterization is so weak a corpse would be considered more animated ...' we ask that you not even bother to subject yourself to such torment since we won't apologize or sympathize with your deflated ego if your story winds up here!

How do I do this you ask?  Simple.  When Emailing us your Submission simply include the words, Zap Me in your cover letter or in the subject line, such as, Fiction Sub - Zap Me

Only one Zap submission per writer allowed per 60 day period.

If you don't receive an acceptance letter from us, or an email stating that your story lacks enough fodder for as to Zap you, then you can be sure your story will be Zapped! 

Then, look here to read your Zap. As compensation for any humiliation you may suffer, we will send you a FREE AlienSkin T-SHIRT!
