On the convention front, Lady Blade, Elaine Isaak, attended Boskone 45 the New England Science Fiction Association's regional Science Fiction convention at the Westin Waterfront in Boston.

The Guest of Honor this year was David Weber.  The Official Artist was David Morrissey, and Special Guest for the event was Bruce Coville.

A vast number of science fiction and fantasy writers, poets, dealers, and gamers attended the convention.

Elaine thrilled attendees by reading an excerpt from the newest novel in her Singer's Crown Series.  She also participated in three panels:

Selling What You Write ~ Friday 7pm

The Great Book Covers ~ Saturday 2pm

Making Language Fit the Culture ~ Saturday 4pm

But it wasn't all work and no play for our Lady Blade!  Aside from signing autographs, smooshing with dealers, filkers, and her fellow novelists, she participated in the ongoing Kaffeeklatsch ~ Literary Beers event.  No, there wasn't beer and our dear Lady would not be beer guzzling at such an event.  She did partake of some tea and chatted with attendees about writing and publishing.

Way to go Elaine!  We wish you much success on your newest novel, The Bastard Queen.
