Insight into

What Fiction Editors

Want  & Hate

to See in the Submissions They Receive

AlienSkin Magazine®'s senior editor, Kay Patterson, and editors from other online and print magazines recently responded to an invite by Jim Harrington to answer six pertinent questions about the publishing biz for his blog, which is aptly named, Six Questions.

Starting December 1st, the first series of answers to these six questions were posted online offering helpful advice to writers..

Editors of such magazines as Abyss & Apex, Bewildering Stories, Clever Magazine, Flash Me Magazine, GUD, Toasted Cheese, and others have offered their replies.  They tell you what they look for in a story and what turns us off about a submission.

So if you're trying to tap into a particular fiction market, and you want an added edge over the competition, check out

Six Questions

Editors featured there tell you what they seek and why they reject some of the stories they receive.
